Oscar Predictions 2015


I love the Oscars. While there is a lot wrong with awards shows, the celebration of celebrity, and the Academy's nomination and voting process, I still think there is something to be said about honoring film as an artform. Every year, I try to watch as many of the nominated films as I can and I must say that it makes me much more appreciative of movie making. It's not just about the actors and "who they're wearing" but about every script re-write, every meticulously placed camera angle, every nuanced string pluck in the score...it's about the art of cinema and the way it moves us.
